4. Sensitive information

Some information we handle is sensitive: details about fertility treatment and reproductive specimens, and copies of identity documents. We collect it only because a transport mission cannot happen without it.

  • We process health-related information with your consent. Where a clinic or agency provides it, they confirm they are allowed to share it with us.
  • Only the team members working on your mission, and the courier carrying it, can access it.
  • We share it only with the parties a mission requires (section 5), and only the parts each party needs.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time. If a mission is underway, withdrawing may mean we cannot complete it.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising without your consent.

To carry out a mission we share information with:

  • Sending and receiving clinics, and your agency if you use one, to confirm the specimens, timing and paperwork.
  • Airlines and airport staff, to book travel and arrange screening without X-ray.
  • Customs, border and import authorities, when a country requires permits or declarations for biological materials.
  • Our couriers, who carry the mission from pickup to delivery.

We also use service providers that process information for us under contract:

7. International transfers

We are based in the United States, our team works in the United States and Israel, and our missions run between clinics in more than 32 countries. Your information will therefore be transferred to, and handled in, countries other than your own, including the United States and the destination country of your mission.

When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK or Israel, we rely on adequacy decisions where they exist, on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) with our service providers, or on the transfer being necessary to perform the transport you asked for. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards we use.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and to resolve disputes. Mission and payment records are typically kept for up to 7 years. Copies of identity documents are deleted once they are no longer needed for the mission or required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Security

We protect information with access limited to the people who need it, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website and forms, secure payment processing through Biller Genie, and service providers bound by confidentiality and security obligations. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law or for an active mission
  • Restrict or object to how we use it, including for marketing
  • Send your information to you or to another organization in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent you gave, without affecting what we did before

EEA and UK: you have the rights above under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Israel: you have rights of access and correction under the Protection of Privacy Law, and you can complain to the Privacy Protection Authority.

United States: residents of states with consumer privacy laws (such as New Jersey or California) may have rights to know, correct, delete and opt out. We do not sell personal information.

To use any of these rights, email office@lifeparcel.com. We will verify your identity and answer within 30 days (45 days where US state law allows). We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

11. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 through our website. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy
